Will be be making fewer posts on here whilst away until I pick up a new Ultrabook in the U.K. that I have ordered and have got it set up and working. Because I am bringing it back to Tenerife with me I will get all the VAT back, and the reason I am buying it in the U.K. is that I want a "British" style keyboard and British version of Windows as local "Spanish" style keyboard layouts are totally different.

Today I will be taking the Stag on it's last little run out before driving it to a workshop tomorrow for some bodywork attention as we leave for a break in the U.K. at the weekend, and I hope to come back to a nice gleaming white car again on our return without any bodywork blemishes.

After replacing the vac advance unit and freeing off the seized weights last month I finally got around to refitting the dizzy to our Stag yesterday evening. Tonight I brought the car home home from the workshop. It is now busy chatting to the GT6 and our XTrail. She is in dire need of a good clean which weather permitting will happen after she takes me to and from work tomorrow. A run out into Wales this weekend is a possibility depending on the weather.

All of that said, as you know it is a fabulous county and great natural Stag territory.

Being a Yorkshireman is a closely guarded honour and one only open to people born in Gods Own County. You can take a Yorkshireman out of Yorkshire but you can't take the Yorkshire out of a Yorkshireman

I am carless at the moment - both the Stag and the wife's cars being in Tenerife Garages being attended to whilst we are visiting the County of our birth (Lancashire), then Cheshire (where a certain Yorkshire Stag owner now lives), then Dorset (Bournemouth in fact), before flying home to Tenerife to hopefully drive our cars again.

Yorkshire is indeed a separate "entity" and is located just to the West of Middle Earth which itself is currently in danger of being overun by the evil forces of Mordor. It is said that the "Shire" is short for Yorkshire - full of funny little people who live in stone houses and who like drinking "Summer Wine" and doing silly things out of sight of a fearsome creature known as Nora Batty.

That map is slightly incorrect - there is no known entity as "South Yorkshire". Of course it is correct in that Mordor must overcome The Merkel of Gondor before even thinking about moving further West.
Yorkshire is a County, er. Country traditionally divided into three 'Ridings' - North, West and East. There never was a South.
To emphasise the independance of Yorkshire as a Country, we are next in line for independence after Scotland and before Wales and Cornwall.Richard
