Yes - I think just two sensors in the over rider rubbers would do the job. Can you get the rubbers out without damaging them and then just stick them back after fitting the sensors?

Can't advise you there, Terry, but the ROM (or Rimmers site) might give clues. Just had a quick search (parking sensor), but I think the post may be buried in a long thread - there were piccys. Found this, though which might be of interest

Hmm, whatever the reason, if I change the speedo pinion drive to one with fewer teeth on the wheel, then it will turn the cable faster and the speedo will read faster. The standard OD speedo pinion is NKC49 according to the parts catalogue, this has 19 teeth. I have just bought a NKC51 - 17 tooth speedo pinion which should speed up the cable by about 10%.

This site specialises in Laycock over drives http://www.overdrive-repairs.co.uk/b...20Parts%20List

Strangely the Overdrive-Repairs online catalogue lists the Stag as NKC50 with 18 teeth, even if that's true then the 17 tooth pinion will help with a more accurate speedo.

        I'll post here once fitted.

Drove over to Dave Nott's BBQ. Thanks Dave for your hospitality. I'm sure you could start a sideline business using your wood burning oven for cremations. Had a ride in Stagdads car, really powerful. A good day, thanks.

Yes same here Dave, thank you for a great day stagmum and I really enjoyed ourselves, and great food. We had a drive down on to the sea front at Brighton whilst we were down that way and saw the big doughnut on a stick. Another 200 miles clocked up on the new set up.
                Cheers Steve

Yes, thanks again Dave and Catherine from Sally and me for hosting the BBQ, it all went well and far too quick. Didn't get much time to talk to some people but thanks to all that travelled long distances. See you at club night Tuesday

It was great seeing you and meeting your wives, and thanks for everything you bought.
Not everyday, you have 10 Stags outside your house!
Thanks for the technical advice too, looks like I better change those timing chains...
My phone isn't letting me post the photos of the day.

Went to the Cock & Bottle at East & Morden with the Green Dragon. fantastic turn out with lots of different cars from all eras. Must do something about that Stag perfume. Lots of petrol fumes after putting throttle to the floor. Great 20 mile round trip. Last meet of the season sadly.

Threads that are both fun & informal as well as being interesting, are what I like most on this Forum.

PS. Yesterday I managed to drill a hole through the rubber & metal over rider on one side of the rear bumper.
Just need to enlarge it to take the rear parking sensor I want to fit there, after which will do the same the other side.

Also managed to fit the cable from the display panel on the dashboard all the way through the car and into the boot where it
will connect with the control unit, but yet to connect the "power" feed from the reversing light itself which I think is the green/brown wire.

                                Hi Edd,

If you go into Settings => My Account => General Settings you can chose "Show 40 Posts Per Page", which reduces the number of pages in this thread to 25.
