I hope you grabbed the Ash rather than the poplar!Originally posted by DJT View PostOnly a small one Paul, hence the small diameter logs. I've left the big stuff at the club for the guys with bigger ones

We've had tree surgeons cutting down about 10 mature ash, 3 mature poplar, several mature sycamore and some mature firs. We have quite a pile of logs to shift this year.......

Dont, worry, we still stay warm enough!Originally posted by mole42 View PostThat's what they say about firewood - it warms you thrice:
Once when you fell it
Once when you split it
Once when you burn it
Of course, these days they use petrol saws and diesel log splitters, so waste all that free warmth!

With a day off work I took the opportunity to pop along to the workshop and adjust the Stag's timing. Yeeee haaaaaa she has her zip back now
. Having the dizzy functioning again with balance weights that aren't seized and a vac advance that advances has worked wonders. I blew a few cobwebs off along the bypass

Know the feeling. Had a season ticket at Elland Road for nearly 20 yrs till I fell out with Herr Bates and his ticket pricing in 2007. Still follow them although now have a ticket at the Proact (Chesterfield for those not in the know)Originally posted by simontink View PostYou should try being Leeds mate!

Hi when I lived in Matlock ,in the early seventies, I used to go to the old ground for the night matches,it had a great atmosphere for the size of the crowd.Originally posted by mopoole View PostKnow the feeling.
