Yes, drilled out rivet, cleaned contact, added a small bolt with shake proof washer and nut, tightened and adjusted contact gap by shaving some off the nut with a dremel as did not half a half nut.

Nice fix, thank you. I'll remember that one!

Yesterday actually.... I finished off conversion of all the obligatory lamps to LED's.

I waited a good while for the technology to improve, and for the product range to increase. Although I fitted HiD's a year or so ago (and found them excellent) I still felt there was further to go, and there was.

I tried a lot of the E bay tat just to experiment, and that taught me more than having the best quality first. Buy cheap, get cheap, as if I needed to learn that again! Anyway, now I have a superb Dip / Main LED H4 installation with a nice sharp cut off and no stray light. The pool of light is between 2 and 3 times as bright as the same lamps with ordinary incandescent H4 bulbs fitted.

The Stag's headlights are now as good as those in my XKR. I suppose I'll have to update my strapline now....

            Regards

            Steve

Steve, which LED headlamp products did you find success with?

I'm still messing around with my headlights and the Wards relay setup....

Steve, where did you get the LED headlight bulbs from and what type ?

OOOOPS see we both had the same question...lol

I have also been waiting for the tec to improve on LED headlights so I'm interested in what lamps (not bulbs as you plant these in the garden) you used.

Drove it to a British Classic Car show outside Perth. There were probably more Stags in the car park than on display. A nice day out though.

Just this evening fixed the dip/main switch and refitted it in the dark.
Replaced the fuse, now I have main and dip headlights again.
                              Hurrah!

Came to work in mine today, still with the top down, well, the sun is out today! It was a bit parky first thing, but once the coolant warmed up at least my feet stayed warm.

                                Cheers,
