Drove to the station this morning in sub zero temperatures and side roads in Upminster where I park were very slippery in places - great for getting the back out (!)
Pleased with the way the car now runs on the strom's, perfect pick up where the Holley always seemed to give a lack of urgency unless floored to bring in the secondary's. The idle is spot on too.
Happy days apart from the salt on the roads which will have to be washed off tonight!Mike

Don't mention the wheels Andrew..
I kerbed the LHF one a couple of weeks back attempting a stupid move to get around a stupid woman in the middle of the road - totally forgot about the extra width and paid the price!
I now have a spare wheel compliments of Rimmer's 17% off deal again so will keep the damaged one as a spare - its not bad but I don't like using it exposed so to say.
I will though give them all a good soaking - still love them!Mike

My brother is passing through Preston for 3 days on way from Perth (Oz) to Antigua to join a Yachts Crew for a spell.
He had a day to spare so we went out to lunch then took the Stag over to Southport Theatre to buy some tickets to "Thriller" a Michael Jackson Tribute show on next week
Had plenty recent rain & cloud so not too much salt about on the roads today
He needed the heater on full all the time to counteract the UK weather after Oz even though not too cold today as 9 degrees C
He will be back in 30 degrees in Antigua by Sunday so OK for some!Phil, Mk 2, 1974 Emerald Green, Auto, (HT & Kenlowe Fan)

It sounds like you need to look at the reflectors, bulbs and wiring connections. If these are in good condition, then the Stag headlights are more than adequate. If they can be supplied with a direct feed triggered by relays then they will be improved further. There is a possibility that someone has fitted sealed beam units in the past. These give a poorer light than proper H1 or retro-fitted H4 units.Dave
