Thanks. I'll be having a good look over the weekend.

I'm pretty confident that everything will be in decent condition - the car had a substantial rebuild quite recently with huge receipts from well known and respected suppliers.

I think it'll be either something that needs a modification or my a fault eyes! Perhaps the one is the other!!

    Cheers

Got my Stag back today. The bumper arrived from S&T yesterday and was fitted this morning. Drove the courtesy car down this afternoon and had a nice drive back playing fuel light roulette. Filled up with 53.3 litres at my local supermarket when I got home. Not much left in the tank then.......

Living dangerously mate - I finished off a head rebuild job on a pal's Stag today so going into the weekend with a smile on my face... used the Stag as a works van for the whole thing and as usual, was running faultlessly despite its 140000 miles

My Stag has been tucked away in its garage since the end of October since the tax ran out. I decided to SORN it over the Christmas period as were away for a while beforehand and again afterwards. Started it today, I'd quite forgotten how much steam comes out of the exhaust with full choke on a cold foggy day, I think it contributed nicely to the foggy surroundings!

I calculated that the engine in my Stag has done 33,000 miles from recon. Half of which in my posession. Past service documents and MOT certificates verify the odometer.
The engine was replaced in 1985.....

Changed the oil Valvolene VR1 20w50 tried...I say tried to change the filter but clearly somebody who believed that tight..is never TIGHT enough did the work, my strap wouldn't shift it I need a socket I reckon, started to replace the bulbs with LED with mixed success to be honest..I had already swapped the headlights for traditional Phillips UBER white 130% better and do you know what..they are! But I swapped the side lights for led..very nice..the rear brake/back lights Excellent also Went for WW2 standard air defence Reversing lights as they are rarely on but when they are I want more than the rear bumper illuminating..but bought the wrong ones ..ahh..ho hum..twas ever thus.

Nice trailer! I suspect the camera has distorted things a bit but how did you see past the trailer with the door mirrors. With the mirrors on my Stag it is hard enough seeing anything behind.

Fitted a new rear bumper centre section. Mine was well scabby, and Rimmers have an offer on some faulty ones at the moment, a couple of extra holes covered by a pair of rivets.
I guessed that a MK1 number plate light would cover these up, in fact they are the holes for fitting the number plate light. I had to drill a couple of holes for the bulb holders to go through, but for half an hours work it was worth the £100 or so discount.

Only a month and a half later, but colour has been applied. Compressor repaired and as the paint isn't a true triumph colour had it spectrum analysed and mixed. Just a small fortune....

Now the A pillar has been repaired and painted. Will need lacquer and then on to refitting the dash. A bit behind my
schedule for March back on the road but a good run on the fitting of the dash will get me back on time.

Ps also gave dash a second coat of varnish, looking good for an amateur.

Yes, the camera shot makes it look a lot bigger! The trailer is slightly narrower than the car so rear view isn't a problem. It was quite noticeable when carrying stuff, trailer weight about 1700kg laden.

Only slightly over the maximum braked towing weight then iirc its 1275kg.

Hi Neil, Thanks for the heads up! Just bought one! All I need to do now is to get you to drill the 2 big holes for me
