First lengthy trip of the year in the Stag.
For Christmas my stepdaughter bought SWMBO and I a nights stay in a Lake district hotel and a cruise on lake Windermere.
Not exactly top down weather, it drizzled continuously once we got North of Preston!
Brimmed the petrol tank before going and again on return, 11.25 gallons and 355 miles, just over 31mpg.
Must fit efi to the Estate, I struggle to get better than 24mpg on that!

Impressive mpg Neil, I must thin mine out in places but as I'm fitting a large bore exhaust I haven't bothered yet. Will be interesting to see how much leaner it runs once I've finished it.Originally posted by flying farmer View PostFirst lengthy trip of the year in the Stag.

Started her up the first time since November....after about 100 click nothings!
I've done everything, relays, earth wires.
Funny thing is, once warm, the problem goes away...
I do have a wasp replacement starter motor to fit, it better solve the problem!!Mike.

Started my green machine to get it to our local Stag specialist. On the button and wonderful purr. Then spent a minute or so trying to get the selector to find reverse on the BW65 box. Eventually it worked and drove off the few miles to Pete Edwards ' establishment. Annual coolant flush and oil and filter change and MOT. Looking forward to some dry weather and top down motoring. Hoping the selector problem is nothing too serious.

Mike all I did to solve mine was a new ignition switch, have you done that?Originally posted by mjheathcote View PostStarted her up the first time since November....after about 100 click nothings!

No, but installing the relay by-pass circuit eliminates any problem with switches, inhibitors, loom plugs, as long as there is enough juice getting through to energise the by-pass relay, which there is.Originally posted by Stagdad View PostMike all I did to solve mine was a new ignition switch, have you done that?
I'm sure it is the starter itself, will find out within the next few weeks weather dependant.Mike.
