SO what did you you do with your Stag today?

Brimmed the tank on the Stag after my return from my Paragliding holiday in France.

Total distance covered allowing for a 2% mileometer over read was 1793 miles.

Fuel used 279.6 litres or 61.5 gallons.

For a car that is capable of producing 100bhp more than a standard Stag, that works out at a pretty reasonable 29.1mpg bearing in mind that about 1400 miles was done at a steady 80mph , and a lot of the rest involved crawling up and down mountains in second and third gear.

That rolling road session obviously paid off, I think it only managed about 27mpg last year!

Nice one Neil, Got a rolling road booked for 25th aug, I will post the results so you can add to your collection. not having a tune this time just a set of figures as the MK2 manifold is under way and i'm also going to remove my tubulars and increase the collector outlet to 2" then a full 2" system so will get a rolling tune done after those mods.

Why not just change the inserts? if you can't do it yourself ask a local garage to. You have them off the car already so a good mechanic should only take about 30 minutes on each one if he knows what he's doing.

Nothing but dream of what I will do with it when it comes back from Robsport after having an engine rebuild and the diffs sorted Had a phone call Friday saying the engine is back in the car and running sweet . So they think the week after next I will have it to enjoy whats left of the summer . They originally told me up to 16 weeks which I said was ridiculous and they agreed. So instead of sending the engine away they rebuilt it in house. . I expect they were losing custom because of the lead time . So I took the Rover P4 for a 30 mile run a bit hot but enjoyable saw lots of classics out today saw 8 Tr's of varying ages must have been a club run Also an Interceptor with a yellow Maserati , a Cobra and a Moggie

Yes Mike the tr7 manifold is working really well but for ease of access to the cooling plumbing which is underneath the manifold I have got a Mk 2 designed and under way. Should have some pictures of it in the next few months.

Stanley our metallic blue Stag is taking us down to Cornwall tomorrow - watch out for us cruising along the A35 / A38 & A303 down to Liskeard. Looking forward to some cool cruising aroung Cornwall with the top down and a full set of bugs in our teeth!

Passing a Garage in Pokesdown (nr. Boscombe) on our way back on the bus from Christchurch saw the back end of a dark coloured Stag sticking out of a Garage called "Motor Vation" but couldn't make out the exact colour as it was only a split second view - does it belong to anyone on here? 1st Stag I have seen on our visit to Dorset.
