Anyone got a picture of the area ----

I don't suppose anyone has a pic (either side will do), viewed from below of the area where the rear inner wing meets the boot floor meets the outer wing. I am replacing the rear bottom corners of the rear wings and repairing the boot 'front corners' and both sides have rusted quite badly where these 3 panels meet, need to know which way the seams are folded and welded.

look on ebay 201553429894 there the repair sections for inner wing, the edge of the boot floor welds to them, and the outer wing over laps and just welds to the boot floor,so the inner repair is in a sandwich if you know what i mean

cant post picture, as ive got no boot floor at the moment, will be fitting new floor

    hope that helps Dave

Still struggling to visualise this I can see how the Ebay item your link goes to welds to both the outer Wing and the boot floor, this piece is a strengthening section that does not attach to the inner arch. So does a lip on the boot floor weld to the inner arch all the way out to where the inner arch and outer wing meet (the point marked by the blue arrow below. - Alan

yes the boot floor does follow the shape of the inner wing, those repair sections i was talking about, are more to the back of the car rear valance, the boot floor has a lip bent down that is welded to inner arch

Huge thread I know, but is there something in Edd's rebuild that helps?

I'm still working on mine when the interest takes me but I did the rear inner arches about 18 months ago (yikes).

These and others can be found in " Here's one I started yesterday............." around #113

The inner arch repair panels do fit quite with a little fettling, but you need to make up your own closers at both the front and rear edges.

Reading your post again, it resembles a corner of my millstone which I treated as well, appears at #97. I was reasonably luccky in that corner that the floorpan was reasonable and the spotwelds holding the old knackeed bits were easy to remove, leavinf a fair edge to the floorpan. The homemade support repair panel was plug welded to the upper side of the floorpan edge then the outer wing repair panel was plug welded to the underside of the floorpan,

Hunt around, there are other examples of repairing that area out there.
