What you got planned for the Stag?

Just thought we could waste a bit of this boring winter time by listing what juicy plans we have for our Stags over th ewinter or next year?

I want to have the hood and frame done next as this is now beyond use!

Next in new foams and covers for the front seats. (Black with orange piping!)

Then some nice Burr Walnut dash fascia!

Lowering kit and new bushes and adjustable dampers.

4 speed ZF box

Custom longlife exhaust.

New bonnet pad and engine bay painted.

Phew thats going to cost some money better start saving up or get a second job!

been hankering for new rims and decided i want same as you fitted any info would be good also got to sort my front seats complete got three pairs of newjeans all ripped in the ass right pocket cos of worn trim and metal poking through taped up with black gaffa at the moment uggggly:Xfancy leather but will need to cost as preping for lecy water pump also.then usual body titivation.............stag not mine ! but that could also do with some work.....................steve.

I need to sort my squeak, I would like to fit Datsun driveshafts and BMW diff (mine leaks a little).

A new hood and frame would be nice too!

15" minilites maybe one day...but I still like the look of the standard alloys:?decisions decisions.

Most immediate plans?... a tank of petrol and a day out on my day off tomorrow!

i want diff and datshafts but concerned about ever decreasing supply and fact that dat shafts were not designed with the sort of power we can now get from tv8,s but would like to get info on beamer conversion and biuld myself, thats the plan and spares should be easy to find for years and any major power upgrades can easily be handled......................steve................ .....stuart cant find those wheels on the sight are they 6j x15 if i phone them what are the wheels called.

Just be VERY careful how you treat them. I have one on the rear where the lacquer is peeling off around the wheel nut holes. I have looked after these wheels very carefully since buying them from MWS at Stoneleigh a few years ago. They haven't been out in salt. Haven't been power washed. Only hand washed carefully and given a coat of Auto-Glym inside and out once per year. Now the centre of one wheel looks like it is suffering the after effects of sunburn :X:X.


I have recommended these wheels to several owners since buying mine. I can no longer do this. I have contacted MWS and been given the brush-off and told that I can get them refinished, but they don't do it! Not happy after less than 4 years and only about 10,000 miles. And no, it wasn't damaged in the accident early this year.

Should be fitting this soon as i have just been told my front hubs are almost ready which are needed to fit the BMW pcd image wheels on the front.

My Winter job is half complete, major rear end refurbish. Conveniently hubs and diff are ok. My aim to be finished my the end of the weekend has gone out of the window though. Currently hacking off underseal. Spent about 5 hours under the car today, probably around the same tomorrow. Very little rust underneath though and none other than surface rust so far.. Keeping fingers crossed that the forecast for the weekend is wrong so I can get it all repainted by the end of Sunday.

I am going to get someone, possibly not the garage who took the job on first and second time, to get my clutch and gearbox working quietly.

restuffed seat back and new rubber base for the drivers seat

New front tyres and possibly new wheels (minilites) depending upon what size tyres I go for.

Fit the door speakers I have in the boot!

the list is long. I have just joined the iPod club and have imported 000's of tracks. Rather worringly, I have played a quite alot of the carpenters recently.

I want the door speakers so that I can get some form of wind deflector.
