Does anyone know of a classic car friendly tyre fitter in North Worcestershire UK?

I have finally decided to stop blowing up my tyre which has a slow puncture and fit a new one. However, I don't want to go to a tyre fitter who isn't used to dealing with old cars and might damage my Stag.

Can anyone recommend a suitable tyre fitter in the Bromsgrove / North Worcestershire area?

    Many thanks,

    David

I would not normally say this but when I had to use KWICK-FIT in Bromsgrove for two front tyres and balance for my Stag they were.............................................. .
    VERY VERY GOOD !!!!!!!! .

ETB in sandy lane stourport did my tyres last time. Just tell them to use the suspension arms to jack the rear up and cross member for the front. All fitter shops are pretty much the same in my opinion

I know it might be a bit far, but Faulty Tyres on the A44 in St Johns, Worcester have always been good to me. No connection, just a satisfied customer.

Faulty Tyres? Surely you don't want those

I know it's a bit of a corny pun. Most people in Worcester just call it the A44 garage. The owner's brother runs a pretty good exhaust garage on the opposite side of the road. They replaced the exhaust on my Stag (when I still had it) and it sounded superb.

I'll second what Richard says. Have used them for years. Can fully recommend. Mike

                    Hi David
You state that you have a slow puncture and wish to change your tyre.
I suggest you first check the valve. To do this remove the valve cap and put a lump of spit (sorry I couldn't think of something less disgusting) at the entrance to the valve. If it bubbles you have a faulty valve which can be easily replaced without even taking off your wheel.
If the valve is OK, slow deflation can also be caused by a poor seal between the tyre and the rim. If this is the case, the tyre will have to be removed, the rim cleaned and the tyre refitted.
Of course, you may have a slow puncture which can possibly be repaired.
If I come across as someone who likes to save money I plead guilty.
If the valve spit test is OK I suggest you ask the tyre fitter to immerse the wheel into water bath to identify leak before you spend unnecessarily on a new tyre.

                    Steve
