    Power steering bleeding

Bristol Hose are replacing my hose rubber pipes and am thinking ahead to refilling with fluid. 'Being a biker and all that' I've never even seen a PAS pump etc before. Am I ok to just reconnect the pipes/pump, re-fill with fluid and then turn from lock to lock like I saw on the telly....?

Oh, and anything in particular not mentioned in the Haynes Manual I need to take care of when refilling with coolant please?

Sorry for all the numpty questions!

    Thanks

    Mark

To bleed the PAS you just need to turn the wheel lock to lock a few times. That seems to purge the air OK!

    Cheers,
    Mike.
Mine since 1987. Finished a 20+ year rebuild in 2012. One of many Triumphs and a 1949 LandRover!

Jack the front end up for both jobs.
It'll take the load off the steering column UJ's and will raise the radiator/filler level to help purge any air bubbles.
