Tap water, delivered via a garden hose.
Reverse the direction of flow thro the Rad, take the plugs out of the block and be prepared to get wet....

A fellow stag owner and plumber system engineer told me You can use a central heating chemical flush as it is safe with all types of metals think of the different types of metals in a boiler.
I use the Holt 3 part kit on my MX5 (no coolant changes in 14 years!) when I switched anti-freeze types; I was pretty skeptical of how effective it would be. I fully-flushed the system will hose water and got a little bit of gunk out. I then used the Holt stuff and the next load of water I flushed was really manky! So clearly these kits do something on more modern engines. Although, if you're Stag isn't suffering cooling problems I wouldn't bother, just a good flush and coolant change.
The best stuff I have ever used is exactly that, the three-part powder Holts 'Radflush' that came in a box.
Quite hard to find, don't be seduced by things in a bottle that claim to be similar, follow the instructions to the letter and you may be surprised what comes out. You might even be able to build an early sandcastle.

I just used the garden hose method, reverse flush as Mister G above. Drain plugs and thermostat removed. A fair bit of dirty water came out and I think it runs a touch cooler now.
I too have only used a garden hose, it takes a while to get clean water . One thing did surprise me was just shortly after i flushed it through ,the head gasket failed obviously not connected but when i took the heads off i flushed it through again by pushing the hose down the water jacket and the bits that came out amazed me , it took a fair while to clean out. and im on a water meter !
