Diff flange run out

Just getting my propshaft back soon from being balanced and thought I would just check the run out on the diff flange before fitting

The needle drops in this footage on each hole so presume its just where the bolts go through

Not sure how or where to measure so did a vertical reading too

I wouldn't worry about that amount of runout, it's mostly within a thou or two apart from you've got a bit of a flat spot. Can you do the same test but inside the bolt hole PCD?

Andrew looking at the vids and i personally think there is not anything to concern yourself with tbh, the run out is not progressive but tends more to jump so im guessing that it is rough or slight hi spots on your flange !! ooh er ..........so don't worry

I was thinkng that if you run the DTI on the face that meets the propshaft flange but the other side of the bolt holes, you'll see if that little flat spot extends inboard. I suspect it won't, there's usually a bit of mechanic's graze on parts like this on older cars and unless it gets horribly serious you'll not need to worry. If it were my car I'd not bother, it looks perfectly good to me, but YMMV as they say!
