    Seats from an Alfa 156?

I was talking to the owner of a Mk1 Tr2000 and he had a pair of Alfa 156 front seats fitted. He said the fixing points were almost identical, and just needed holes opening up slightly to fit his car. I wonder if it might work on a stag, and maybe someone here has already done it?

    Hi Chris,
I've fitted Alfa 156 seats in mine. The front to back holes are almost the same but the side to side holes are quite different. I bolted a thick metal plate into the original seat mounting holes in the floor and drilled holes to take the Alfa runners. Mine dont tip forward but I only carry the dogs in the back so not a problem for me. They are very slightly higher than my Stag ones but much more comfortable and leather is far nicer to sit on than plastic. I'll post some pics later. (Just about to go out now)

Pics as promised. Only taken with my phone so not that great - must do some proper ones sometime as changing seats seems to come up fairly regularly. The Alfa logos are now covered with embroidered Stag logos. They also have the seat belts semi-intregal with the seats so I used them as well as my original ones were looking rather sad.Total cost from my local breakers was £110 - considerably less than refurbishing the originals. seat2.jpgseat1.jpg

They do not allow access to / from the rear, they will not pass MOT if that bothers you. There are many other options which are safe.
