    Goodbye

just a line to say thankyou to everyone who helped me fix any problems with the stag, i always carried out the repairs myself but could not have done so without this forum, this enabled me to have 5 wonderful years of Stag ownership, it was easily the best car i have ever had.
I did not give back to much in return which made me feel a bit inadequate really, although on my photo gallery which i am leaving on here there is my mota lita gap filler and my catch can set up for weber carbs that was at the time not thought necessary because the engine must be knackered.....wrong.... my primitive set up cured my problem and predated the more modern and space age catch can set up.
My membership is up and i am not renewing, i made some good cyber friends on here exchanging poor jokes in the small hours but never actually met any of you except Will who bought my Stag... that also meant that Graham Staggared never did buy me that pint which was threatened over a couple of years at least.
I am going to take my pension soon as long as some rich bugger has not pinched it, thats the main reason the stag had to go.(just the kids to go now)
Again thanks to all and Goodbye.....Steve

Sorry to hear you've decided to sell the Stag. Perhaps when you have settled into retirement you'll reconsider and get another. Meantime, enjoy your retirement.

Sorry to hear your leaving. It's a sad fact our classic cars are often a luxury sat in the garage used as a fun car. I understand some use them everyday but lots of people have growing families/ grandchildren who often need help with rising housing costs. I have a daughter at uni and wouldn't bat an eyelid at selling my stag in order to help out or invest in something more important. Good luck

I'm sorry you decided to sell the Stag but I do understand, it was brown after all I know when you have settled into retirement and done all the decorating, gardening, and all those jobs that you never got round to while you were working you'll be sitting in your armchair and you will say to yourself. I'm gonner buy another Stag ( not a brown one though) and I am going to make it as beautiful as old staggard's one. Stay safe Steve all the very best Graham

Cheers Steve. Maybe in time you can pick up a cheap stag that needs a bit of your skill, and time, but not too much cash spent on it. Make it into 'therat rod'
                        All the best

Graham i like brown ones, i know i did not set out to buy a Brown one but the colour does grow on you..it is a bit like mould growing... horrible to start with but really quite pretty under a scope.
If i did manage to get another stag i would buy back mine if could prise Wills hands off it or i would truely get another Brown one.

Send me an email when your over and if dementia has not set in by then i will be there...Take care Graham...Steve

All part of the fun Steve, although some are unappreciative, you were always a pleasure to talk to - look after the daughter mate, and next time I'm up your way, you're down mine or when Graham's over either the kettles on, or mine's a pint! All the best
