Just been looking at an add in the June 16 edition of Classic & Sports Car for www.nutleysports.co.uk which list a Stag a 4100 mile Stag at £34,995. Its gone from current stock and listed as sold. Find another one I suppose?

They are not far from me and ask amazing prices for stock but that is a record for a Stag.

This kind of dovetails into another thread on here about Stags being too cheap. Will the person that has bought this at £35k be prepared to use it regularly or too afraid to put miles on the clock in case it devalues their "investment"?

About 15 years ago I went to buy a fireplace from the good old trade it magazine. The guy had a 20,000 mile pimento red stag. He wanted about 8 grand for it. I remember him lifting back all the carpets to show me a very greasy but perfect floor not a weld or patch in sight. The car was lovely. My wife just gave me that look and I knew I was dreaming.

              Hi Edd

It would probably have worked put cheaper to buy that car for 8k rather than restore yours. I never had the bottle to add up what our Stag cost us. I did add up the gt6 project cost and that made me cough (a lot!)

              Regards

Ah ha but the poor door gaps will be "genuine" Triumph ones

We should arrange to meet up sometime and compare Stags and Beagles

                  Regards

This Stag appeared on Car & Classic website at £20k. I made an enquiry to the owner and it said it was sold , i reckon it was literally for sale for a few hours at the most !
                    Quite a mark up
