Is anyone following progress on Mike T . He was dong a restoration feature on a stag in Classics monthly . I stopped buying the magazine as his restoration was fizzling out somewhat sadly I think due to his bad health. I hope he is well and progressing .

I visited Mike with about a dozen other members of the Triumph Sports Owners Association Queensland about 18 months ago. Nice fellow (he's a Stag owner, how could he be otherwise?) and his work is every bit as thorough as it appears on the page. He had his previous restoration there as well, an immaculate E Type. I now subscribe to Practical Classics online, it's quit a bit cheaper, saves paper and not that hard to get used to on an i pad. The next edition will, I believe, include the Stag's first run!

Thanks for replies. His work is brilliant and multi skilled. I will look out for the last edition and check out online too however I sometime scan read a car magazine in whs before purchasing just to check I'm interested in some of the features. Rather naughty but it it kills time whilst the mrs takes half hour searching for a birthday card
I'm a tad miffed, I know it's partly my own fault but I came upon these articles by Mike Taylor rather late and I only have from part 30. I contacted Classics Monthly and spoke to numerous people about back copies but apparently the early issues were published by a different publisher who didn't keep any back issues. The original publisher, who's name escapes me, assured me that all back copy details would have gone to the new publishers, Kelsey Publishing. Kelsey Publishing say they didn't get any back number information, in fact I spoke to Paul Wager, the editor in chief, who said if he had any of the back issues either hard copy or in PDF form he would gladly send them to me. Does anyone know if issues are available direct from Mike or does anyone have any spare copies, I have from part 30 which is in issue 226 of March 2015. I would be very happy to pay for a set of these articles. Apologies if I have in any way hi-jacked the thread!

Hi TahitiGraham, Fairly sure I have full set, you are welcome to them, I hope to be at Classics at the Castle, if you are going I could bring them, otherwise a trip to Wiltshire and collect.

Hi, when I visited Mike he told me that the first dozen or so articles had been made available as a package. However, I can't for the life of me remember if I downloaded them or bought them on a disc. This was before the change of publisher. When I get time I will try to dig out some more info for you. Perhaps the Kelsey people could forward an email to Mike for you?

Thanks Ct, I have sent a pm to Ray Smith and hope to catch up with him soon. Thanks for taking the time to reply its much appreciated. I agree with edd the articles are particularly good, and Mike is very skilled, they give you food for thought to make subtle improvements to your own car. Thanks again, Graham
Hello TahitiGraham,
I purchased some time ago the "Stag Rescue Parts 1-13" and have all 94 pages on my iPad. I just tried to see if I could put all 94 pages into pdf format, but alas that exceeds my technical competencies. I also looked to see if it was still available on the Apple store to purchase, and, as you say, its no longer there. Pity. Someone is missing out on an opportunity here.
I've always enjoyed this long running saga, which I believe is one of the ultimate quality restorations of a quality we can all aspire to. Hats off to Mike Taylor.

I didnt buy it however below is what the first issues looked like when packaged up. They tried selling it when the previous app was closing down. I did not renew when it started again however i may subscribe now as practical classics is getting a bit boring
Apparently the whole resto series is online at www.stagowners.website
