Don't think so, Mk 1 didn't have intermittent wipe. Also check the supplier if you get a new one, some suppliers supply motors with slightly smaller arc than others. Paddocks one recently fitted with proper arc and new wiper cable 'cos the self park tag broke, that's how I know!
Got a Mk2 recon wiper motor from Robsport last year - came with a 120degree gear and they didn't have any of the correct 130deg one, so if yours is 130deg, may be worth checking this is what you'll get, otherwise you might want to hang on to it.
My 1972 Mk 1 (April) has an intermiitent setting. I guess another one of those transitional things between Mk 1 & M2
I think the intermittent facility is done external to the motor with a timer behind the parcel shelf, so there's no reason why the motors need to be different (2 x speed + parking switch).
Dave. The motors are the same for Mk 1 and Mk 2., only the switching is different. And it is position of the crank pin on the large gear that regulates the arc of the wipe, so provided you retain that gear for the replacement motor, you won't have any trouble.
