    South East Trimming Great Service

Just Thought I would post on the service I received from Jim Vangent. Purchased the hood from SE trimmings. Fitted the hood and i struggled to get the tight fit thats required. Jim made the hood bespoke with red piping and red stitching. After a couple of phone calls for fitting tips Jim agreed to come round take the hood of and refit it for no charge. Jim is based in Kent and I live in North East. As jim was in the north visiting family on holiday he has taken time from his holidays to provide this extra service (as it Happens hood was fitted correct was the dam frame twisted now fixed by Jim) Absolutely Great service. New carpets from Jim now on order Wounder if he wants to fit them free Ha HA Well impressed.

Good service indeed, and always worth posting about it. Have you got "Bold" turned on as a text default?

Jim fitted my hood at his house about 8 years ago, it's still a good fit! It will look new again should I ever clean it!

Great to hear such positive reports about a supplier, I am going down on Wednesday to have a new hood and recon frame fitted. 600 mile round trip, was intending making it a bit of a break staying locally and having a look around the area but the wife can't come as grandchildren coming. So will be leaving at 6:00am, could be 6 hour drive so i'll take an overnight bag in case it turns into a marathon. Yet to sort out choice of route, M6, M1, M25 or A1 M25, any way involves M25, will give the car a good test before our French trip at the end of June.

Just read post about registering for Dartford Crossing, I'd better do that if I don't want to get in bother

Unless you are down south on a regular basis i would not bother as you have to put a minimum £10 in advance. May be better to pay on the day. Dont forget though😄

Thanks Terry, I'll have a look when I've finished watching the football, recorded it, please don't tell me the score

You don't have to register, I've just paid my £2.50 for a one way crossing as I'm using it tomorrow morning, just a one off payment

As i'll be using it twice I've set up a PAYG account, debit card when using it, same price per journey.

Made the trip today to get my new hood and frame fitted, left home at 6:00am got home at 8:00pm, 637 miles round trip and apart from the weather, a good drive with no issues other than I'm a bit bothered about fuel consumption, will calculate tomorrow but I think it's using a bit too much, oil pressure a steady 40, temp gauge steady just below the "N"

Arrived with Jim at 11:45 and by 1:00pm job done, hood and frame looks very good and fit is good, also advice on folding down and putting up (was going say erecting but a fear of adverse comments) a good bloke to deal with making good products definitely a recommended supplier by me.
