Good Supplier

In April I purchased a reconditioned 3.45 differential from T D Fitchett's which has been fine until I did my 638 miles in a day marathon last week when cruising varying speed brought a whine from the diff, I had been aware of a slight hum?whine but this was worse on a motorway and I found I could "play" with the noise. I didn't comment last week until I had checked the oil level and spoken to Fitchett's.

Well, I spoke to Tony on Thursday and they immediately offered a replacement unit based on my diagnosis and as they didn't have stock they got their rebuild man to rebuild a unit for me and shipped it to me on Friday. It arrived this morning and I have fitted it today and they have arranged for the old unit to be collected from in the morning, I have tested the car and am very happy with the unit.

This was excellent service from the company who are obviously proud of their product and reputation and I can highly recommend their service to our members.

Yes I am afraid it was. Mind you in the three months or so we were "open" for members to send in recommendations, we got considerably less than 10 responses IIRC. Shame really, given all the time taken by some of us to get a system agreed and set-up.

Wasn't it finally put down when "The Committee" vetoed it on the grounds of possible litigation I seem to remember. We could always do it and find out what happens !!!!
