    I was a nominated tester Class 4 & 5 up until 1981 so have seen many a good example you mention. All I'll add is it in place at the moment for all sorts of things such as Heavy Plant, HGV's in certain circumstances (recovery trucks for instance) and Pre 1960 cars. None of it causes any real issues at the moment.

      In my pictures somewhere, you might find the pic I posted of what I fitted as the originals fell apart after 5 minutes. Norton Commando front fork gaiters, these are neoprene, a perfect fit, even the longer length looks good as it covers the shafts into the swinging arm holes.
