Thats very useful,thanks. I need to sort exactly where the long end of spring from main pivot goes,looks like i may have the body clip above coil spring (last photo) missing.
i took some photos when i had a problem that the spring rod had gotten onto the wrong side of the mechanism; so it#s not in the body clip on this photo: however; the photo is quite uncluttered and shows the spring and lever arrangement

Hi Drew, how did you get the spring back on the right side , did you have to remove the hood?.
as my spring is pushed out of the body clip by the hood mech, will try and post a picture later.

Fortunately, I could get it back on the right side by unscrewing that top right side bolt (just adjacent to the tonneau release cable ferrule in the picture). Didn't have to remove anything else and the hood stayed in its half open position. I was initially concerned that everything might go BOINGG!!!, when I did this but it was not the case. Spring rod is now comfortably lodged under the body tab.
