That would be fantastic thank you. I could take the Mitsubishi but have allways planned to take the Stag at sometime and really theres no time like the present. My sister who lives in Suffolk is up for it so will give it a go.

I am off work tommorrow or could pop over to you any evening.

    Phil

    I'll PM my number
Just take a tow rope and a Mitsubishi if you can fit it in the boot

Phil, Al referred to a thread I started some time ago about things I carry in my boot & inside the car. Well I still do carry around most of the things mentioned earlier, plus a crowbar to bash the starter motor with when it occassionally plays up. I've also just bought a new digital readout tyre inflator that runs off the cigar socket. Some people say I carry too much round with me, but it gives me more confidence when out in the Stag that I can fix most things that might go wrong at the roadside, or at least enough to get me home. Good luck with your trip, are you taking your easel and paints with you?

I don't think there will be time to actually paint but be assured the camera will be working hard so that I can play when i get back. I have not had much success trying to paint from life I think the photo being two dimensional makes it easier

            Hi Phil,

Looking on the bright side the weather should be better than here! If you wear glasses for driving then you have to have 2 pairs with you in France also a fire extinguisher

            Bon Voyage

Fitted the hard top today ready for next week. It makes the car quite different doesn't it. Had a job getting it to fit ok at the front ok on the drivers side but wouldn't locate the other side pushed it down pushed the lever fairly hard and the casting snapped in my hand:shock:roof feels firm enough so will leave alone until I get back. A fair bit of rust bubleing at the front and the paint doesn't match the car so looks like a restore needed before long.

Its was good to see you this morning Keith and thanks again for the loan of the spares
