Who's off to the Classic this year ? do you know about this ?

DRESS CODE

The spectators should come to Le Mans Classic correctly dressed, tribute to all the actors, often come from afar to put on this ephemeral show. They greatly appreciate welcoming visitors who have gone to the same trouble as them. There are many ways of being “sport-chic”, as skilfully illustrated by Alain Bouldouyre.

Haven't seen that before, if it's hot, I'll be in shorts and flip flops! If it's hot and wet, I'll be in shorts and wellies? If it's raining al, the time it'll be a water proof poncho like muff man had last time!

They have issued that "guidance" every Classic as far as I am aware.
It is trying to make it like the Revival, but few seem to take a lot of notice.
In our experience though - if you have paddock access passes, you will need to wear something at least approaching the guidelines to be certain of getting in.

Looking at them Out drawings reminds me of that phrase we used at school many years ago 'put some jam on your shoes and invite your trousers down for tea'

Perhaps they've given up then, I was there in 2008, 10 and 12 and there were certainly people in shorts and flip flops being turned away at the entrances to the paddocks.
