    Soft top front seal

Just when I thought I had sorted the leaks, I have another problem.

Whenever the rain is fairly heavy, and a reasonable speed achieved, I seem to be getting a good flow of water into the car from above the windscreen.

I thought at first that it was getting in between the chrome panel and the windscreen surround panel, so whipped off the chrome panel and sealed it all up. Alas...

The levers for the soft top do not stay fully closed, although they are as near as damn it, so should I be looking to replace the front seal? The hood is fairly new, and fits quite nicely.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers.

Water can get under the 'C' channel strip that holds the rubber seal. Put some sealant along the front.

If the lock catches do not lock up tight, the female part of each lock (in the top chrome panel) may be worn, and needs renewing.

If the rubber seal looks OK it should not need renewing.

Mine lets water in if the catches are not closed tightly, so it sounds as if this may be the problem. I took the stainless trim off the top of the windscreen frame and put some screen rubber sealer under it while I was checking everything.
