Hi all, can anybody tell me how difficult it is to remove the fixed jet? and do they wear? Cheers Mark

They do wear.
It's not to bad to change the jet, press it out with a vice, I used a 1/4" drive socket to push it and a 1/2" on the exit side. When you press the new one in make sure it's square, and find yourself something the correct thickness that fits on top of the jet so it stops at the correct depth below the bridge. If I remember correctly the depth is 1.7mm from the carb bridge to the recess in the jet. Simples
