    When to change your plugs?

Despite some recent problems with my Alternator, Battery, and PAS bracket bolts, when my engine is running - it is running really well. It sounds right and all gauges indicate everything is working as it should.

When the car wouldn't start a few weeks ago (it was a fuel probem since resolved), l did remove a couple of plugs to check I was getting a spark O.K., and one of the one's I removed looked fine and the other a little "sooty" (if that is the right word).

When I recently ordered a new fuel pipe and filter from Paddocks, I also ordered a set of plugs as it seems years and years ago that I last changed them, but I remember when I did I had to helicoil a couple of the spark plug holes as the threads stripped.

My question is this, as the car is running well should I leave changing the plugs till later, or should I do it now before I have any problems in that area? What is an indicator (if there is one) that it's time to change the plugs?

    Regards

    Terry

That's kind of answer (reply) I like. So it's back to the Pool tomorrow instead of working on the car -
after all it must be least 100 degrees Farenheit at the moment out here.
