    Back in the fold

2 years away almost. Back to share the spills and thrills of Stag ownership LOL.

2 years on and the old girl has been given some love and attention although she did spend some time in the naughty corner!

Another rebuilt rover Engine (3.9std bore Vittesse Valves Rhoades lifters Crower Cam Upgraded timing chain 123 Ignition system) Retains the Edelbrock carb but now with the engine lowered using Monarchs spacer blocks and modified mounts I can fit an air cleaner on!
Repositioned the Alternator and power steering pump to more normal positions (Thanks to Ian again!)
    15" wheels and Cobra seats.
Balanced propshaft removes all the vibration
4 point harnesses were an after requirement due to the height of the Cobra seats.... no rear seat passengers...
she got treated to a new radiator and Kenlowe fan during the refit.

Still to do the rest of the interior and the roof. However she can now be used as a car rather than a prop for a dust cover.
Motd almost straight away just brake problem on morning of the test (Leaky bleed nipple created one of those rear end clenching moments when the rear of the car tried to over take the front when the brake was applied rather firmly. spewed a good qty of silicone brake fluid all over the front wheel and disc...removing any thought of retardation from the one wheel!!)..new pads were required and a nip up of a bleed nipple. And an advisory that the exhaust is "still" noisy in the words of the MOT chap

Very nice and very different. lovely paint job. Personally I like my standard TV8 set up, but hey, vive la difference, it keeps life interesting. How does your insurance company like it?

          Welcome back. Nice car!
Assuming you was 73 Stag previous, that is scary thinking you were last on here two years ago, I would have said twelve months ago max!

Mines with Carole Nash - ~£125 pa for 5k miles, so I think you're getting a good deal with your mods. Remember when I had an Alfa 146 and was thinking of fitting more supportive seats - the company I was with clearly thought this made me a boy-racer and wanted an extra £400!

Sorry about pinching your handle - was surprised it was available.

Even more respect since you rescued your motor from the scrappy.

              All the best

its ok about the handle.... this one suits me fine lol...
It had the rover v8 engine and an auto gearbox in it when I collected it because the seller "couldn't be bothered to remove it" I kept as much of the engine as possible....the heads LOL and converted the car to manual.
