2 years away almost. Back to share the spills and thrills of Stag ownership LOL.
2 years on and the old girl has been given some love and attention although she did spend some time in the naughty corner!
Another rebuilt rover Engine (3.9std bore Vittesse Valves Rhoades lifters Crower Cam Upgraded timing chain 123 Ignition system) Retains the Edelbrock carb but now with the engine lowered using Monarchs spacer blocks and modified mounts I can fit an air cleaner on!
Repositioned the Alternator and power steering pump to more normal positions (Thanks to Ian again!)
15" wheels and Cobra seats.
Balanced propshaft removes all the vibration
4 point harnesses were an after requirement due to the height of the Cobra seats.... no rear seat passengers...
she got treated to a new radiator and Kenlowe fan during the refit.
Still to do the rest of the interior and the roof. However she can now be used as a car rather than a prop for a dust cover.
Motd almost straight away just brake problem on morning of the test (Leaky bleed nipple created one of those rear end clenching moments when the rear of the car tried to over take the front when the brake was applied rather firmly. spewed a good qty of silicone brake fluid all over the front wheel and disc...removing any thought of retardation from the one wheel!!)..new pads were required and a nip up of a bleed nipple. And an advisory that the exhaust is "still" noisy in the words of the MOT chap

Not everyone will like it but I have a stupid cheesy grin
