    Auto box oil cooler.

I broke one of the circulating pipes off the oil cooler, it sheared off where it is brazed to the cooler housing. I have ordered a new one from Paddocks on next day delivery so that is my job for tomorrow.

To move the car I have rigged up a flexy pipe between the two oil pipes. Just wondering out of curiosity how far could you run the car without an oil cooler?

Quite a long way, especially if you avoid motorways and high speed or towing a caravan!

I had a Triumph 2.5PI once with a BW gearbox and no oil cooler, didn't notice any problem.

        Glenn,

I did think about tht but needed a new one asap as we are off on a Grampian Stags run to the west coast in a couple of days. I may still get it fixed and it will do as a spare.
