    Hard top seal?

Has anyone found a replacement hard top seal that fits?

It is getting to the time when I think about sorting the hard top for refitting over winter, Michaelmas is September 29th so if we don't get an Indian summer, I'll be warm and snug in the Stag!

Front & Rear seal is the same and can be purchased here:

    Other suppliers also have it.

Unfortunately the current seals are made from a harder rubber. The originals were made from a spongy type of rubber and the front hard top seal was sewn almost flat in places to make sure it sealed properly and was quiet. The new ones, being harder, take a long time to settle down. You might need to coat the side that seals against the windscreen top and body with petroleum jelly or a rubber lubricant. This allows it to settle better and reduces the amount of squeaking as it flexes.

The one on my hardtop is hard rubber and quite a large section. Not only does it not sit down and allow the locks to close but it leaks and the door tops don't shut properly.

As Craig says, the Baines one looks as though it'll fit but I'd like to see of it's any smaller and more flexible than the one I have. I did ask for a sample last year but got no response.
