It pays to mention you have a stag

We booked our holiday on Sunday. After browsing my wife decided my idea of camping would be replaced by a hotel. I don't blame her to be honest. We settled on a hotel in Falmouth. All booked through Expedia and decided to give the hotel a call. The owners called us back even though it was a Sunday and I mentioned our only worry was parking availability. I went on to say we are driving down in the classic car down and it's a stag. She then said ahh you need to speak to my husband Nigel. He came on and told me he had owned two in the past and still absolutely loves stags. He then assured me they would allow us to use their private parking.
What a result and what lovely people. What are the chances

      "What are the chances"

From the comments whenever I show my car, quite high, as everyone seems to have owned one, or had a father/uncle/boss/brother-in-law/etc. who did !!!!

I got similar treatment when I was in Den Haag - they even gave me the hotel owner's very secure parking place for the Stag!

That's true it's a well loved car. Nigel did go on to mention he moved on with a more realiable car. So I aim to show him just how realiable they are now ( excuse me whilst I go find some wood to touch )

Better put plenty of good quality polish on your Stag Edd It tends to rain quite a bit in Cornwall.
Call into Trago mills(Falmouth) whilst you are there down stairs plenty of car polish available
The Cornish stag chapter meet up on the 3rd Sunday of the month they will make you very welcome and they seem to find a good pub to eat at as well.

            Cheers Glenn

Well, just been Glamping in France, nice little caravan park. They give you a key to open the barrier for entry, don't need the key in the stag because they open the barrier for you, everyone else has to get out, walk round the car to use the key!

Loads of people stopped by our caravan to look at the Stag, blokes would come over for a chat about it, everyone amazed we had gone "all that way" in an old car. They saw the Le Mans stickers in the windscreen and can't believe it's used so much.

Its almost like being famous Edd!

Not to mention the 'flying rats' sometimes called 'gulls'! They will steal your ice cream/pasty/sandwich and then sh*t all over you and your car just for fun!

Yesterday, Mrs K and I were out in the Java beast, and caught in the car park that is the M25, next to one of those Korean 4 wheel drives. The woman in the modern called out to us, and said "nice car". She immediately followed it up with "my dad designed the chassis on that - it was his life's work and he never got any credit - never even got to own one"

                        A very strange encounter....

Falmouth is a great place Edd, we were down there a few weeks ago and got caught up in the annual Sea Shanty Festival, quite an event...
Great little ferry across the harbour to St Mawes for an alternative day out (foot passengers only though)
                          Enjoy

Perhaps she was confusing it with a Triumph Spitfire
