Interior light switch

Thought I'd marked the leads adequately when I took them off the broken switch. Now I've got the replacement, I'm not sure. The wiring diagram wasn't much help as it numbers the terminals from1 to 6, the switch has got no 5 & 6, but 7 & 8 instead.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I can sort me out.

1 &2 are the piggy backed purple.7 is purple /slate, 8 is purple/red ,3 is purple /white and 4 is what ever is left.

Thats interesting. Mine and Stagdads are both MKII's and different. Mine is a 1977 car :shock:.

I have thought about that. At some point I will probably upload them to the Stagwiki site. I was planning on posting on the Forum to see if I could get hold of other peoples collections of piccies as well. I am very busy at the moment so it will probably be after Christmas now though. As you know, at the moment I am busy doing my rear end rebuild so the photo collection is growing.

There was a change from earthing the lamp side to earthing the switch side somewhere around early 1975 (LD35000ish). If the door switch has two terminals, it is the early sort. Much easier to fit an alarm to the later version.

Yes, I don't think they updated the ROM. I have seen a hand-drawn circuit on the technical reprints section of the website.
