broken stalk

Hey guys...anyone ever replaced just the headlight dip, horn stalk for another on a the indicator switch as mine is broken and hanging down?

HI Very easy change ,take cowling off ,take a picture of old one in situ from both sides ,u will c why ,unplug from the looms ,fit new one , job done

Sorry. you seem to have miss understood my bad description ...
I want to keep the original body of the switch, just change out the broken stalk. The reason being that my car has the original 4 high beamset up. The new, Chinese ??, units will not work for long before they overheat and l lose main beam.. I have tried 4 Rimmer LHD ones and first off they need rewiring correctly and secondly the just don't last like the original.

Probably a stupid question, but are you using relays or is the full current to the lights running through the switch?

Its the European model that was setup as 2 dip and 4 main. No relay. That's why I want to use the original switch ,the new ones are crap.
