Breather pipe from valve cover outlet to carbs

Hi,

one of the breather pipes from the valve cover outlet to the carbs has perished and I need a replacement pipe.
Now I saw that Wards sell silicone breather pipes. Is there an advantage to use silicone pipes towards the normal pipes?

i would think that they might last longer than modern replacements given the quality of rubber items these days.
i am using silicon hoses for my water system.

Just bought new news from LD Parts. Quality seems much better than the last set I bought from another supplier.

Thank you for the info. I ordered the silicone pipes from Wards. Today I fitted the pipes. I had to cut to length two of them. They are slightly thicker than the old ones.
