    Wiring headlights to ignition

    Hi all.

I got my Stag over to Denmark on Thursday and now have to get it ready for its 'import test'. The only thing I think I can do in preparation is to try and wire the lights to the ignition. The lights have to be always on over here (as with most of the rest of Europe I think).

Anyone have any idea how to do it? Or perhaps someone could point me in the direction of a guide for this.

    many thanks in advance

Mark. I have read that "Daylight running" front and rear lights were required on all new cars in Europe after 2008, but it also says on line that they do not have to be fitted retrospectively to cars older than this. In which case you may not need them. I would try and get a Dane with an old car to confirm this for you.
    Mike.

There are Stag lights with Daylight running lights build in, I can only find them for sale in Australia, and they are quite costly, about £100 per pair inc shipping, but it may be another option.

Other options if you do have to have daylight running lights:
        - LED strips mounted along the trim between Outer & Inner lights
        - sidelight conversion (or fitting H4 outers with incorporated sidelight) with a kit such as http://bettercarlighting.co.uk/index...ewCat&catId=51 , though my guess is the cost of this, getting decent Valeo(Cibie) or similar will be similar to the halo type from Aus

White 1976 build ("Mk2") only a few mods
