Sorry cant post any more pics as I apparently exceeded my quota ! also getting quite frustrated that every time I post I have to wait for an admin to authorise my posts. So hopefully theses should appear on Monday at some point.

For the cost of full membership you can save yourself thousands it's a no brainer. I wish I joined before buying my stag. My stag looked far better than yours but under the fresh coat of under seal ( that's was meant to be a plus ) was lots of rot. One wheel arch was completely made of filler as was the boot lid. Ended up with over two years of welding and altogether s three year restoration.
Please don't expect anyone to say many positive things as seeing a car in the flesh is very different from pictures. Plus if it's a rotten car the chance you could say hey you lot said it look a good buy.
History and receipts are very important and shows someone has cared for the car in the past.
              Good luck.

Hi Edd. Thanks for the reply and I did walk away from this one I did not get a warm fuzzy feeling.

I am going to look for something that is in better condition as recommended and address my budget accordingly !!!

Chris, Admin / Moderators are all volunteers so are not here all the time. We authorise posts as soon as we see them, and I remember authoring some of yours.

The best thing for you to do is join the SOC, as then your posts wont need approval. For £36 it gives you good value, and all the help you will need.

Welcome to full Forum Membership. I don't know why there has been a delay.
The upgrade usually happens quickly and without the need for a 'manual' upgrade.

Had a fun few hours at Castle Combe today. Lots of very interesting cars to see was particularly impressed with the Steam powered car that took the track. Now that really looks like a labour of love just to get it moving !.. Met some friendly faces along at the stag owners section with 6 very tidy looking Stags from Somerset. Found it reassuring that the several I looked at were all completely original without any cooling systems upgrades. Just plenty of love and attention over the years.

Have decided that the first job will to be building a decent sized garage. So its going to be a while but I will keep looking out in case any bargains crop up. !
