    indicators

just went to take the stag out for a drive, no indicators, everything else is fine, checked the fuses all look good. I realise it could be the relay but there is no light showing on the dash, when the last relay went it showed a solid light on the dash, anybody any ideas please.

Don't bother, people will think you are driving a Beemer or in Spain.

Check that all connections are fully in place on the flasher unit.
      LD334, Royal Blue, TV8, BW35.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

You can join the two wires that go to the flasher unit then select left/right see if the lights come on. not the earth though if someone has fitted a later electronic one.

Further to Staggards suggestion if the lights dont come on then check condition of all contacts. 12V requires good clean contacts all along. In the last 2 years as a stag driver I have had to clean fuse holders with fine emery to cure both wiper and intermittent lighting problems. Also I had a problem where indicators only worked on one side that I found to be poor contacts in multiway plug at interior end of steering column.

            Fedex.
Check the hazard warning switch, as the power to the flashers passes through it. As it (hopefully) rarely if ever gets used, the contacts inside it can get slightly corroded, breaking the circuit. Try pulling it in and out a couple of dozen times and you might get the flashers working again.

Does a 1972 model have hazard flashers. I thought it was a couple of years later.

Koy. I hadn't noticed that it was a Mk.1 so you are correct. According to J. Taylor Esq, they were fitted from chassis no. LD 30001. So, for anyone with a Mk.2 that has the same problem.......
