In order to test out my new dashcam in combination with my soon to arrive new sound recorder, I thought I would try them out initially with some small tours in the Stag around the area around where I live, and upload the results to YouTube for anyone who wants to watch.
The 1st one - “Tour 1” will take us on a circular route from my home on the outskirts of Los Cristianos, into Las Americas, then back passing “Siam Park” (voted the World's top Water Theme Park), and next to it a new shopping centre called “Siam Mall” before heading into Los Cristianos again.
Next I plan “Tour 2” to be another short local tour but in the opposite direction, into Las Galletas and Guargacho, then back home via Silencio (where Staggard lives) and past the newly planted “Dragon Tree” roundabout in Guaza.
Haven't yet decided on the routes of any future tours, but they will each take us farther afield, and feature different scenery. I am waiting for my son to bring out the “Zoom H1” sound recorder I will be using later this month, so it will likely be November before the first video “Tour 1” will be available for viewing. 1 will make a further post on this Thread when it is.
A map of the area covered by Tours 1 & 2 appears below - "Silencio" is not labelled on it but is just to the right of "Galletas", and "Guargacho" is just before Las Chafiras. If you go on Google Maps and "zoom in" on the area you will see them. The "TF1" is the main Tenerife Motorway that will eventually circle the whole of the Island. "La Camella" shown on the map is where Canarian Stag owner "Paco" has his garage, Paco being the President of the local (Arona) Classic Car Club. All adopted roads on Tenerife by the way are labelled beginning with the letters "TF".
Counting Ian Charlesworth's white Stag (he has a place in Los Cristianos) there are at least 4 Stags in the small area of Tenerife shown on the map, possibly more as I have seen a blue one in Pacos garage and I know his own is a red one.
