    Rad flushing and cleaning products

Hi all, been flushing and back-flushing the block for 2 days now, drain plugs not blocked. Still getting small flakes of red crud. Should the flushing be perfectly clear? Would cleaning products help this problem or is this normal to get little bits in the water. Any recommendations for products that will help would be appreciated. Cheers Mark

. I don't think you will ever get the waterways in the block completely clear by just flushing. The congealed rust particles take some shifting even when the heads are off, when you can pressure wash down into the block. I would think by now it would be clean enough to reassemble everything. Then you might like to finally run the engine with something like Radflush in the system before draining it, and filling up with water and antifreeze.
    Mike.

+1. Not like it has to be surgically clean................
