Following on from painting the cam covers, does anyone know the nearest modern colour for the air filter box? I believe it used to be a Ford Dove Grey or BMC Arabian grey which are probably obsolete now!

RAL 9002 is close.
However some had a blue grey more like 6034
And some were silver.
After repainting mine a few times over the years i got fed up doing it & got it Satin chromed for longevity without the 'bling' of decorative chrome.
I got the cam covers done in black chrome, but would have been better in satin chrome.
Must have done the cam covers 4 or 5 times before getting a more durable finish.
