The spring is (roughly) half way along the swing arm so a half inch increase in height at the spring would produce a 1 inch increase at the wheel.

One of these days I intend to refit the old rubber spring seats to test the theory!

    Cheers,

When I rebuilt my TR last Winter I replaced the perished rubber spring insulators with poly items and it has lifted the rear end by about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch with nothing else changed, so they do make quite a difference.

I went for paddocks inch lower springs, new rubber spring pads, std dampers & std wheels with 195/70 tyres
Some think it looks too low.
The spring pads sent were different shore harnesses by a country mile.
      Got a matching set eventually.
Noticed they are looking more perished than the originals, only 18mths after fitting.
Maybe poly spring pads would be the better choice?
