Hi All
My car has a type 65 auto box. When cold, even with the engine running fast on choke, I can move between drive neutral and reverse with just a very light thump as expected. As the car gets hotter the thump gets more pronounced, especially moving to reverse. No problem on normal driving. The idle speed when hot is about 650/700 in drive rising to about 750/800 in neutral. This seems to be the opposite to other similar posts where the clonking or thumping is worse when running fast on choke. Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance
John
