Engine Block Colour

Hi all, not a newbie but rejoined the club after a few years break, I am currently rebuilding my engine and I have been trying to find out what original colour would have been used on my engine block and the other ancillaries, do any of you know of any websites or where I can find out what colour everything was when it left the factory. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome back.
Engine blocks were black from the factory. Search for Stag Cocourse Notes and that will give you some guidance, and there are a fair number of photos on various sites which will help.

For the block, any colour you like as long as it's black....
For the rest of the components it's as the earlier post suggests...
I seem to recall that Ford Dove Grey was widely used
