Proud of my car

Today was my day off so I had to take Chris (my wife )shopping we went to Tesco in the stag . When we pulled up on the car park we noticed a Morris 1000 parked up and we wandered over to take a look well I did Chris isn’t as keen as I am about old cars .Imagine are surprise when we came out of the store to see a young lady taking photos of the stag it was the driver of the Morris we had a chat and she said what a lovely car she thought the stag was . I have always been proud of my car but never more so than today

Better be careful. Next time you say 'just popping to Tesco in the Stag, dear' she will start wondering..............

It might sound daft, but it doesn't do the old ego any damage at all.

Waiting for the chain ferry across Windermere, I wandered down to the water for a look, on returning I found a crowd of about 15 people grouped around the Stag, quizzing Lynda ( SWMBO ) and taking piccys,whatever anyone says, it DOES give you a little lift. Martin.

I have posted this before but; a couple of years ago I parked my stag next to a BMW M3 soft top, the owner was putting something in the car when someone walked passed and remarked 'nice car mate' thanks said the BMW owner, only for the passer by to say ' i didn't mean your car'. that one still makes me smile.
