I had the same issue and got a Moto Lita 14" Dished, just right, I think 13" would be to small.

Nigel is correct. I bought a 13" dished Motolita for my Stag but it just didn't feel right so changed to a 14" dished Motolita which gives a comfortable thick rim and, as Richard says, suits the car very well. I put the 13" on my Mini 1275 GT so it wasn't wasted

Worth having a look at Mountney wheels as well as Mota lita as pricing is better. Just a caution on highly polished chrome - you can get a good dazzle with the hood down, with the sun behind you.

I too found the original too smal on the rim - hands cramping up mainly, so wanted a fatter rim. Ended up with a 14" slotted spoke Mota Lita with padded leather rim. Very pleased (apart from the dazzle). Agree with previous comments re going to 13".

Any chance of some photos, chaps? I looked at a nice Stag a few years back but it had a wooden Moto Lita which I didn't think looked quite right. I confess I like the look of the OE wheel but it is a bit thin.

Here's a couple - one when just fitted, the second with the proper STAG wheel centre (done w/o permanent mod to it).

                      Thanks, Jonno

Those look really good, especially the second. Was getting the OE boss cover difficult?

                      You've gat me thinking now.

Post 36 on here gives the details and links to the parts http://socforum.com/forum/showthread...Steering+Wheel .

As you'll see, I just developed the concept from Always wanted a Stag. After a few months, I'm very happy with how it looks and is quite stable. Confession time - I completely b*llocksed up the centreing of the drilled hole in the steel disk, but it matters not a jot - boss remains central. The magnets are brilliant
