THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR COMPUTER the caps lock key is stuck on. Also give us a clue on whereabouts you are, UK is fine it's just sometimes what will be suggested to you is area or location specific and won't apply if you are in Latvia.
For myself I've never considered using a Prius Electric water pump, however if you use an auxiliary pump like that or any other electric or belt driven pump you would have to remove the standard pump and replace it with a plug in the block to ensure the pump waterway will be open and allow the auxiliary pump to function unhindered. The placement of the auxiliary pump would have to be considered dependant upon which pump you chose and it's requirements regarding space and pump rotor rotation direction.
Hi Motorsport Micky. The cap lock key wasn't stuck on, after I had typed my query I couldn't be bothered to change it too lazy. Apologies If I have annoyed anyone, it wasn't intended. The prius pump inlet is central, the outlet is on the side so the flow is in the correct direction. I was really looking for anyone who was conversant with prius electric water pumps. The pump is I think small enough to be fitted in the alternater fitting position. I live in the garden of England Kent.
