MOT Certificats Found In A Book

I today received second hand copy of book I bought from Amazon by James Taylor called "Choice - Purchase - Performance".

On flicking through it 3 MOT Certificates fell out of the pages, they are for a 1973 Triumph Stag Registration number NRW 946M and dated for June 17th 89 - June 16th 90, Jan 2nd 91 - Jan 1st 92 and Jan 4th 92 - Jan 3rd 93, the last 2 issued by The Pond Garage, Thornton Heath, the first one by Belchers Garage, Bungay.

I checked on the DVLA site which state RFL was due on 1 January 1993 with no information on a MOT so it looks like its no longer on the road.

I was looking for a Triumph Stag Register but can't find one, I thought there was one, can anyone point me in the right direction or know anything about this registration, has it been scrapped? had a cherished number transferred to it. If it exists I would like to pass the certificates to the owner.

The MOT issued at Pond Garage was probably dodgy Many moons ago they had a less than kosher reputation in the trade (I was still testing at the time at a garage less than 20 minutes from there)

Back in the day, everyone knew a man in the pub who would get you one the next day if you gave him the details or he just got you a blank one to fill in yourself

The embossing stamp slowed that a bit - then the stamps and books got nicked from garages, and the rule came from upon high that the book and stamp had to locked in a safe except when actually being used - any variation, and loss of book or stamp would mean withdrawal of authority for MOTs and a severe bollocking for me as Head Tester/QA
