I showed him a pair of Stag heads a few years ago. First he picked up on the LM25 notation, indicating the standard of alloy used. He told me that this is still used in many modern alloy heads as it is an excellent alloy for the job. Obviously he didn't take a hacksaw to my good spare heads, but he didn't have anything derogatory to say about what he could see.
When we were last over in Michigan they had a monetary recycling system for aluminium cans. Take the empties back to the supermarket and you get money off your groceries. The largest user of recycled aluminium cans over there used to be Ford as they used them for cylinder heads. Gives a different meaning to 'things go better with Coke' I guess...............
