Effectively, with people like yourself and others leaving (Julian Leyton, if you still read this, that includes you), we are allowing the strength of this forum to be destroyed by the mis-guided intervention of a few.
I don't want to be offensively critical, but that is the weak way out. Surely the right thing to do is to continue showing the strength of this forum, and each and every individual member, by carrying on as usual with all the good practical advice and a bit of good-humoured banter, and ignore the sh1t that occasionally surfaces.

Sorry, but I so appreciate all the practical skills, and enjoy the good humour, that I actually get a bit angry about good people leaving.

Well, that's my thoughts - please, don't anyone get upset by what I have said, but can we please keep the good guys?

I agree David and a lot of the trouble makers have left here and gone on to pastures new where they are still causing problems.

We still have a few on here but like the others will disappear....hopefully, they all do.

Still a great forum and like Ian said, he is still contactable and will help anyone who asks for help.

Having been away this past month - have only just seen this Thread.
Ian - you have given advice to me on this Forum - for which I thank you.
I too would like you to stay, otherwise who else is going to tell me I am doing something I shouldn't be doing.

I don't know if my memory is playing tricks or not - but didn't you say sometime in the past that you, like me, enjoy going on Cruises? If so why not book yourself on a new one and forget about Internet sites for a while (like I have just done), then when you return home come back on the Forum and ignore the mud slingers.
